Master Well Owners in Good Standing
Master Well Owners are allowed to recertify even if they have not educated 100 people during their previous two years as a certified Master Well Owner. Recertification will be granted to any Master Well Owner that has the desire to continue their outreach efforts and has completed at least one educational activity through MWON. However, an educational activity must be documented through a MWON activity report before recertification will be granted. Recertification can be granted or denied by the MWON staff at any time.
Options for Recertification Training
-
Attend the entire MWON Statewide Conference during the year that your MWON certification will expire. Example: You were trained in April of 2004, you will be recertified if you attend the MWON Statewide Conference in fall of 2006 and pass the recertification exam (see Qualification for Recertification #4).
-
Attend a regional recertification workshop conducted by your MWON Regional Coordinator during the year that your MWON certification will expire. All regional workshops must be approved by the MWON Coordinator to count as recertification training.
-
Completion of the MWON online recertification training module (available in early 2006) during the year that your MWON recertification will expire. Example: Your original training was in April of 2004, you will need to take the online training on or before December 31, 2006. The recertification module will take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete and it will end with a multiple choice recertification exam that will be automatically sent to the MWON Coordinator.
-
If any of the above options can not be completed, an approved method of recertification can be discussed with the MWON Coordinator. Approval must be granted by the MWON Coordinator for the alternative method to count as recertification.
